“Kährs product development team has made a great job and I am impressed by how they have managed to improve the sustainability properties even more in the Zero & Green Collection, without compromising at all on performance”, says Andreas Berge, CCO Commercial sales at Kährs.
Kährs is continuously seeking to reduce its environmental footprint and innovative new materials is one of the focus areas in the company’s sustainability strategy. Kährs Zero & Green is the latest example of sustainable innovation from the company.
40% of the virgin polymer in Zero & Green is biobased and it contains up to 50% recycled Enomer® material and has the same performance and usability properties as the rest of the Zero range. Awarded with the Nordic Swan Ecolabel, this new generation of resilient flooring is especially well-suited for building projects with a clear sustainability profile.
And that is not all, Kährs is also delighted to announce that the complete Kährs Zero range is now produced with 100% renewable energy, reducing the CO2 footprint of Zero Sheet with 32%.
“I am very proud to introduce the strengthened Zero offering to our partners who are looking for the very best floors for their school or healthcare projects”, says Andreas Berge, CCO Commercial sales at Kährs. “Kährs product development team has made a great job and I am impressed by how they have managed to improve the sustainability properties even more in the Zero & Green Collection, without compromising at all on performance”, Andreas concludes.
More about Kährs Zero
The pioneering PVC free Zero contract sheet flooring range is made from the unique flooring material Enomer®, developed by then Upofloor, now Kährs, made from safe materials as natural minerals, virgin clean thermoplastic polymers as well as recycled granulates, and in the case of new Zero & Green, also bio-based polymers.
The Zero product family consists of Zero Sheet, Zero Sound (with additional acoustic qualities) and new Zero & Green. They come in a variety of colours and are used for indoor spaces subject to heavy wear-and-tear and with specific needs regarding cleanliness, easy maintenance and indoor air quality, typically education and healthcare facilities.
