A NEW MORE SUSTAINABLE CHOICE OF UNDERLAYMENT

Kährs Flex Silent can be used for several different types of top coverings, and it has the added benefit of being able to be reused several times when the flooring itself is changed – without losing any of its performance and quality. This not only saves the customer the cost of buying and replacing the underlay when installing a new floor, but it also reduces the carbon footprint of Kährs Flex Silent over its life cycle. Products with a long service life are always more sustainable than those that are only in use for a short period of time

Kährs Flex Silent acoustic system was designed specifically for floating installation of floors and reduces impact sound and walking noise. With more than 90% naturally occurring raw materials this is the most sustainable underlay in the Kährs range.

High water vapor diffusion resistance, SD > 100 m, also offers a high level of protection against
moisture. Kährs Flex Silent is suitable for both underfloor heating and cooling due to its low
thermal resistance. It has a high long-term walking sound reduction with the outstanding result of up to 30% reduction capacity and is specifically designed for floating installations (overlap included).

A LONGER LASTING UNDERLAYMENT

Kährs Flex Silent is exceptionally long-lasting, more sustainable in comparison with most of the underlayment’s on offer and energy efficient combining properties such as:

  • Designed specifically for the floating installation under parquet, laminate, and hybrid floors
  • More than 90% content is made from natural raw materials
  • With a memory effect and close to 100% recovery attributes, it does not have any reduction in thickness under static or dynamic loads
  • It is possible to re-use at least two or more times in combination with new floors while still maintaining close to 100% performance generating savings
  • High energy efficiency due to low thermal resistance, which reduces heating costs
  • Manufactured in a close to CO2 neutral production
  • Certified Blue Angel and in accordance with both EPLF and MMFA rules
